I’ve lived in towns and cities for brief times, even in other countries, but have always gravitated back towards rural England. The scenery in my new place may not be too different from what I’ve experienced before, but there are new simple pleasures. Like being able to spend barefoot mornings picking fresh blackberries from the hedges that surround my woodland garden.*
