I worked hard in the garden all weekend, mostly tidying and weeding before the frosts come. I love my woodland garden but the only downside is how easily the brambles and nettles migrate from the forest into my lawn. Amazing blackberry crop but the buggers get everywhere! It took longer than expected to clear the north side of the garden..that’s behind my sheds and rain water catchers, where the old ash trees provide dappled shade — every evening the deer settle here and pheasants roost above. I want it all tidy so I can see the swathes of white winter Hellebore from my porch when they bloom*
