I just wanted to reach out and say thank you to those of you have who have messaged me concerned about the recent news on onlyfans banning sexually explicit context. Stories like this come out every month and I see them regularly, however the traction this story has gained does make the news appear concerning. While I don’t know the truth on the matter, I do believe that news outlets will blow up any information relating to onlyfans as they know it drives traffic. I personally have only seen larger (usually more reliable) news outlets post the story once they saw everyone else jumping on the bandwagon. I am not worried and if you are, I don’t think you should be either. Sex workers are adaptable, always have been and always will be. It’s a necessary part of being in an industry that is still vastly misrepresented. If I have to move to another platform I will and I know many of you will support me in that. If I speak honestly, I am sick of sex work and sex workers being stigmatised for the jobs we love and the services we provide. I have created some of my most meaningful relations on this platform and it’s upsets me to see the utter disrespect out there towards people simply trying to have autonomy over their bodies. I have very little power in this situation but at this time I simply encourage you to tip and be kind to the creators you love. As you know a lot of us heavily rely on this income; many of you know that the only reason I can continue my masters is because of the generosity and kindness so many of you show me.
