Bare with me on this post: This is the path I walk every day to take my youngest to school. It’s not the most aesthetically pleasing path but it’s probably my favorite thing to do in the mornings. Every day I think the same things- I wonder how many pitter patter feet of kiddos have walked this path. The happy, silly noises my son and others make as they talk amongst themselves. I wonder what the good and bad news is that have been told to the parents who walk this path as they are on the phone. I wonder what secrets and stories the path holds. What has it seen? How many leaves have fallen on it? I know we could do this about everything, but there’s something about this path that calls to me. Some days we leave early to school just so we have the path to ourselves (like today) and other days we leave later so we can see the other kids. No matter what, I like this time to reflect, to say hi to everyone I see, to breathe and just be in the moment if I need to. Such a simple path, such a simple photo but the footsteps, the thousands of footsteps make this path anything but simple. My thoughts and wanted to share🙏🏻 🌳
