Added 2021-06-24 14:43:43 +0000 UTCI went for a hike and some local sight seeing after I had brought my Mini Schnautzer to the groomer this morning. Behind me on the first picture you see a 13 meter/42ft hill (yes, this mini Mount Everest behind me is one of the very few hills we have over here in the Netherlands!). On top of this hill they built a watch tower in 1968. The forester would have clear sight over the woods and could act quick in case of a fire. Nowadays they use other techniques to prevent fires, and the trees became too tall for the forester to be able to see a thing so they replaced the old watch tower in the year 2000 with this 18 meter/59ft sigh seeing tower. Enough history for today! 😆
