Apologies for being MIA past several days. Had issues uploading pics the other night. Work has gotten busy for closing. Mickeys training and researching is time consuming 🙄 and feel like I’m not progressing

I did a bunch of cooking over the weekend. Grilled 6 large chicken breasts & 3 pork chops. Roasted asparagus, sweet onions, red potatoes and some carrots. Such a healthy meal and so delish!😋 .
Worked out lower body today, but with light weight or body weight only. Focusing on slowing the movement and getting full muscle extension and contraction. Still no running, but have been able to walk Mickey both morning and evening. Going to take him Saturday to try doggy daycare. Figured gives him socializing with other dogs in controlled environment and expend some energy!!!

Thankfully hammy is a little better. Able to walk better. Also worked out this morning 😁I was soooo thankful!!! Felt so good! My mental health was struggling. Worked with Mickey using a gentle leader that I had from long ago. He fought it bad. I kept working with him making it positive and he finally got to a point I was able to walk him where he didn’t get aggravated with it. Off to bed. Night night!

Mentally struggling again today. Trainer came out gave me several different options for training. Mickey had been crated 7-8 hrs. As I was taking him back in the house after going potty, the trainer arrived. He had lots of pent up energy. He was a complete nut case 🙄.

Mood has gone to shit😢😫. The not being able to work out or barely able to walk just fucking sucks. I kinda wish now that I didn’t go through with the adoption of Mickey🙁. Trainer canceled tonight’s evaluation. Hopefully they show tomorrow.

I’m still in a good amount of pain from the pulled hamstring. Mickey doesn’t understand that I can’t run him or take him for walks because he lunged at a guy on our last walk and when I took a big step that’s when I pulled the muscle 😫😮💨. I’ve got to figure out a way to get some of his energy out now. I wrapped food and treats up in a towel so he had to figure out how to get to all the food. I’ve not been to the gym 2 days…it’s killing me not to work out😭.

Tonight majorly 😮💨 I mean majorly hyperextended my hamstring that was already strained. Took Mickey on our normal evening walk. He was sniffing around just off the path and an a guy came around a corner. All was good until the guy just got past and Mickey lunged at him. I took a huge step to not fall and that was it. I limped back almost a mile. I’ve never felt pain like this before. 😖😩. I’m soooo upset 😩😭. I’m hoping for a miracle overnight that I can still walk on it or limp rather 😫. Night night 😘

I get a nice breather since my county property taxes got filed today for the company. This afternoon took Mickey for a walk and he got bit by something. I noticed his face was swollen especially around his eyes. Then I could see the hives starting on his sides. Thankfully a neighbor had Benadryl on hand so knocked it out before it got worse. He was happy when I finally sat down tonight for a few minutes so he could lay his head on my legs while I petted him and he snored😄. My poor baby.

Finally got my taxes completed and submitted over the weekend. My next work deadline is tomorrow. Thankfully I get a 4 day weekend and not sure what I’ll do, but damn certain I’m not working!!!! Okay off to bed.
Took my goofy boy for an outing this weekend exposing him to more people and some dogs. I was mostly pleased. I’m happy to see progress in his training 🥰

Was planning only working half a day today, but that didn’t happen 🙄. Have to got to get my taxes done and filed 😄. Thankfully, I’m not professionally doing taxes anymore, but still takes me awhile before I get my own done😄. Taxes is how I got my start. Started at a small tax office for many years and even when I went to work at some small CPA firms, I still worked at a tax office. Then when I tried to get away from taxes full time I did do it part time as a second job for over 15 years. I literally didn’t have a life from Jan- May. At the time, I was lucky my ex now did all the laundry and kept me in clothes 🤣.

I know it’s say it probably way too much, but I’m so proud of how my backside is starting to look. 😋. I feel incredibly sexy most days. I just wish I had someone to share this sexiness with in person 🙃
On another note, I’ve officially submitted my adoption for Mickey with the rescue. 😁. He’s a lot of work, but I do believe with manners and discipline and exercise, he will be a fantastic partner ( dog) for me. I might have to hire a trainer to accelerate his training, I want him to be able to walk like a well behaved dog in places with people and other dogs. I want to take him paddle boarding and get used to it like Toby did. Tho don’t think Mickey will want to stay on the board so I may be sitting majority of the time or in the water🤣.
Off to bed. Up at 6 to workout, run Mickey and do some work. Hopefully not all day or at least so don’t have to work Sun

Been a long week and half straight days of working. Over 53 hrs as of Sunday then tack on almost 10 hr days for past 3. Got my financials submitted. Now just finishing up budget due tomorrow. And my legs are super tight. 😖. Between workouts, running and walking the new dog, my legs are toast! Off to bed. 😘

Another good run with my boy this morning. He’s been sleeping in the bed with me and practically shoving me out😄. He’s only 57 lbs, but he’s strong. Having him is definitely a change in my routine, morning and evening. Financials have been approved and ready to submit to corporate. Working on budget consolidation due in another day or two, I’m hoping 2. Working too many hours and keeping up exercise for the pup. I’ve gone with Mickey for his name, but almost think I should have called him Mugsy😆

I have a new addiction, I’m doing a foster to adopt for the beautiful male boxer. He’s 1 and weighs in at 57 lbs. He really didn’t come with a name, so I’m thinking Mickey. Partly because the reverse brindle aka black and Mickey Mouse, but mostly because of the trainer in the Rocky movies😄. Whatcha think? I’ll have 2 weeks to decide if I’ll keep him. It’s been a hot minute since I’ve had to train a dog. This all came about within 24 hours. I’m already stressed with work so why not add a little more 😬. Thankfully he’s been resting by my side most of the afternoon as I’m working from home. Have a great day everyone 😘
